How to Modify NMEA Message Output Sentence?

HA-017M , Marine GPS Receiver with RS232 / NMEA0183 output , Some user want to modify the GPS Receiver output sentence  , you can program it by use the software u-centresetup ,  modify the output sentence , baud rate etc.  and also you can config output GPGBS. 

below is method teach you how to operate the software , if you need the software , you can send message to us , we can share the firmware to you .

Connect the device to the computer via RS-232 and run the application u-center. From the menu select Receiver, then select the appropriate Connection port and Baudrate, such as COM6 and 4800 in the example below.

From the menu select View->Configuration View, and also View->Text Console, this will open two sub-windows.

You can tile these 2 sub-windows vertically in the view as shown below.

Select MSG(Messages) from the list in the left column of the Configure sub-window, and then select the specified message from the Message drop-down list in the right column of the sub-window, such as F0-09 NMEA GxGBS in the example below.

Check UART1 On in the right column of the sub-window, then click Send in the bottom left corner of the sub-window.

Now, let’s watch the Text Console sub-window for the specified message output, such as GPGBS message in the example below. If so, continue to the next step; if not, check the connection port and retry this step.

Select CFG(Configuration) from the list in the left column of the Configure sub-window, then check Save current configuration in the right column of the sub-window and select 1-FLASH. Finally click Send in the bottom left corner of the sub-window.

Power off and re-power the device, then watch the Text Console sub-window for specified message output, such as GPGBS If so, the configuration was successful; if not, retry from step 4.
